Little2Legend is a global nonprofit initiative committed to transforming the lives of underprivileged children, particularly those in rural and underserved communities across the Global South. At its core, the organization carries a simple but powerful belief: that every child, regardless of where they are born or the circumstances of their upbringing, deserves the opportunity to rise from humble beginnings and achieve their full potential. We believe every child has a spark of greatness within them, and with the right support, they can grow into legends who not only transform their own lives but also impact the world around them.
The vision for Little2Legend was born from the lived experience of its founder, Richard Tusabe. Richard’s story is one of resilience, struggle, and triumph. Growing up as an orphan on the remote Ssese Islands of Uganda, he faced the daily realities of poverty, hunger, and limited opportunities. The crushing weight of these circumstances could easily have extinguished his dreams, as it has for millions of children in similar situations. Yet Richard’s path was different because along the way, caring individuals and communities chose to invest in him.
Through support that came in the form of school fees, mentorship, and encouragement, Richard was able to attend school, nurture his academic potential, and later progress through secondary school to university. His personal story embodies the essence of “from little to legend” — a reminder that with even small interventions, the trajectory of a child’s life can be dramatically changed. However, his journey also exposed a painful truth: while he was fortunate to receive support, countless children are not. Their dreams die in silence, their talents remain unrecognized, and their potential is lost to the world.
Little2Legend was founded to change this reality. It stands as both a tribute to the transformative power of community and as a promise to children everywhere that poverty, isolation, and lack of opportunity should never be barriers to achieving greatness.
